Throughout the summer holidays, participants can choose from themed weeks – each designed to provide a diverse and enriching experience – ensuring there’s something for every child’s interest.
Here’s what’s on offer:
29 July to 3 August: Summer Sports Week
Join us and celebrate the summer of sport! Children can participate in a variety of fun and energetic activities, such as BMX biking, trampolining, basketball, netball, badminton, handball, table tennis, and volleyball.
5-9 August: History Week – Join us and embrace Colchester’s rich history, as Britain’s First City and former capital of Roman Britain. Children will have the opportunity to travel back 2,000 years in history with arts and crafts, sporting sessions and even a trip to historic Colchester Castle, Europe’s Largest Norman Keep where they can explore ancient treasures and enjoy interactive exhibits.
12-16 August: Nature Week will see our young explorers inspired through activities like nature bingo, clay modelling, and scavenger hunts, fostering a profound appreciation for the great outdoors. Enjoy the thrills of the Mobile Animal Zoo experience on the 14 August and get up close with some hands-on encounters and educational talks, allowing children to learn about conservation and animal habitats and to embrace a deeper appreciation for the natural world.
19-23 August: Magic and Mystery Week will captivate imaginations with group puzzle games, fancy dress competitions, and problem-solving activities, ensuring a thrilling and mysterious adventure.
27-30 August: Music Week will bring out the inner performer in every child, offering opportunities to play various musical instruments, participate in dance and musical performances and showcase their talents including an End of Summer disco party.
