Time is running out to experience the enchanting world of puppetry at the ‘Thunderbirds and Co: The Joy of Puppetry’ exhibition at Colchester Castle, which will be closing its doors on 30 June. This wonderful exhibition has been running since 29 March, offering visitors a rare opportunity to celebrate the art and legacy of early television puppeteers, including local legend Joy Laurey and the internationally acclaimed Gerry and Sylvia Anderson.
The exhibition invites guests to step into a realm of nostalgia, featuring an impressive array of puppets from classic television shows. Highlights include Joy Laurey’s beloved Mr. Turnip puppet and iconic characters from Gerry and Sylvia Anderson Productions, such as the captivating Lady Penelope from "Thunderbirds."
During this exhibition, visitors can donate to Headway Essex, a charity supporting people with brain injury.
