Public Sector Network
As part of their role, some of our employees will have access to official and sensitive information through the Public Sector Network (PSN) or will need a secure e-mail address. All users must meet the criteria and complete checks as set out in the national Baseline Personal Security Standard (BPSS)
If you are applying for a job that involves working with official or sensitive data using the PSN, this will be indicated in the application pack. In this case, you will be required to give us certain information about yourself on the Equality and Diversity monitoring form (for example, date of birth and unspent convictions).
As part of the disclosure process, we must release this information to a third-party supplier to obtain an external electronic ID validation check. This process will be undertaken with strict regard to our Data Protection Policy.
Please also note that legally we are unable to make an offer of employment to the successful candidate/s for such jobs until this check has been cleared.
